Joseph Boyden is a lot like Junior in the novel "The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian" by Sherman Alexie. This is for many reasons. One reason is because both Junior and Boyden had people close to them die when they were young, and this was a very traumatizing experience. Also, both write stories , in their own way, about their different experiences. Boyden writes actual stories and novels, while Junior draws cartoons, in the form of stories.
